I just got an email from Westminster Choir College letting me know that I needed to finish my application before my requested audition date, February 17.  Wow.  I had completely forgotten that I had even started the thing.  I had forgotten about the part of my life where I thought I was going to spend a year in Texas doing whatever (cowboys, I suppose) and then move to New Jersey to study pedagogy with Scott McCoy.  Nowadays I tell people that I’m planning on going to the University of Houston for my Master’s (and I’m preparing hardcore so that I’ll rock my audition) and I’m a member of the Houston Symphony Chorus and I’m planning on living in Texas for at least one more year, hopefully two (for the degree) and I’m dating this nerdy Harvard grad (life, don’t make me eat my words, but it might actually be different this time around) and…well…things are most definitely not the same.  In a good way, on all accounts, I think.

Just a little scary to think about what I was like less than three months ago, and how that has changed.
